About Us

The Berkshire Neighbourhood Learning Centres Partnership is a network of organisations that is dedicated to providing advice and learning opportunities that will enhance the wellbeing, confidence and employability of people in Berkshire communities. We include centres who provide computer supported personal development in the community as well as a wide variety of organisations who have an interest in promoting and supporting learning opportunities to people in the community of Berkshire. We prioritise those communities with high levels of educational deprivation.

Our Aims

The Berkshire Community Learning Network aims to connect people across Berkshire with advice and learning to help them to achieve their goals, whether it is personal development to be able to integrate more into the community they live in, improve their employability, move jobs into a different sector or improve their prospects of promotion by learning new skills.

Key Objectives:

  • Create a robust, independent and sustainable pan-Berkshire network that is truly representative, involves all sectors, preserves and builds on existing provision and linkages, shares good practice and enables wider participation by supporting brokerage between learners, potential learners and learning providers
  • Assist those organisations which deliver learning and support in the community in the use of technology to achieve their objectives
  • Encourage working between sectors, services, agencies and across borders by providing information channels and facilitating collaboration
